Business intelligence (BI) tools have transformed the workplace. Accessible and affordable solutions like Power BI enable businesses of every size to extract meaningful insights from their data and gain an edge over their competitors.

Despite this, only 4% of companies actively use their BI tools. So, what’s holding them back?

It’s often a question of resources. Most businesses simply don’t have the internal knowledge or skills to use data effectively. But with the right support, anyone can become a data-driven organisation.

Data discovery is the first step to data maturity

The path to data maturity begins with a data discovery workshop. Whether it takes place over the course of a single workshop or a series of consultations and reviews that involve stakeholders from across your business, the goal is always the same: to identify your data challenges and goals.

In our experience, you can’t plan a successful digital transformation in a day. That’s why we split our data discovery methodology into three stages:

  • Discover
  • Strategise
  • Evolve

Data should be a strategic asset, not a by-product. Book your free data discovery workshop and start unlocking new opportunities.

Discover

This stage is all about getting to know your business. Over several workshops and stakeholder interviews, we work with you to understand your:

  • Challenges & bottlenecks
  • Long-term goals
  • Processes & tools
  • Internal expertise & capabilities

We then consolidate all this information into your complementary data discovery report. It contains everything from personalised recommendations and quick wins to potential ROI. Not only does this give you a solid business case to take to the board, but it also serves as a roadmap for your digital transformation project.

What’s included in the Discovery stage?

  • Technology analysis: A detailed review of your data sources, reporting solutions, and BI tools.
  • Process review: A thorough assessment of your data gathering and reporting processes.
  • Stakeholder consultation: A series of workshops and interviews with stakeholders across the business to understand your key challenges, bottlenecks, and requirements.
  • Review and advice: A list of actionable recommendations that will help you achieve your goals.

Strategise

This is where we build and test your bespoke data strategy.

Our consultants outline the infrastructure, tools, and processes you need to harness data in your business – quickly and at scale. We then work together to set key project milestones so you can easily monitor progress and share updates.

At the end of the Strategise stage, you receive an overview of your enhanced data platform, along with a detailed breakdown of the data pipelines that underpin your new processes and reporting.

“The insight N-ZYTE provide by interpreting complex data sources and translating into meaningful action has delivered an ROI that is at least x5 the investment we've made, and likely much more…”

Evolve

We’ve established your goals and designed a bespoke solution to help you achieve them. Now, we implement your new tools, platforms, and processes so you can start extracting value from your data.

A key part of this is ensuring you have the knowledge and skills to gather and interpret data independently. We do this through training and support. We work with you until you’re ready to remove the stabilisers or on a longer-term basis – if you need help refining your solution and implementing changes.

“N-ZYTE's expertise with Google Analytics and BigQuery has given us more detailed analytics from our website, and they've set us up with the building blocks for the rest of our analysts to build upon.

There are some more exciting projects we have lined up and I'm confident N-ZYTE will keep us ahead of the curve.”

Data is your most valuable commodity

Many businesses delay their digital transformation because they view it as expensive and disruptive. But the long-term benefits speak for themselves. Companies that use BI software achieve 13x more ROI than those that don’t.

Data is becoming more accessible every day. The longer you wait to harness it, the further you fall behind your competitors.
